Slavisa Jokanovic: Fomin will captain the team in the forthcoming season

— What did you like about today's team performance?

— We have pre-season in progress. Of course, we need to improve our play. In addition, we are still waiting for fresh forces in the squad. I am sure that we will be able to play better than today in the future.

— The team controlled almost the entire game. Have the players already understood your principles and the kind of football they should show in the Premier League?

— We didn't dominate as much as I would have liked to see. Lokomotiv played very well, especially in the first half of the match, and created a lot of problems for us. Then we started playing better. We need not to stop and move forward all the time. We have potential to grow, and we're still waiting for some new faces in the dressing room.

— Arsen Zakharyan and Guillermo Varela returned to the pitch. Will they be available for the first round?

— I can't say exactly that they will definitely be ready. They worked with the team for a couple of days. We didn't want to take risks, so they didn’t spend much time on the pitch. The guys need to come back to full fitness.

— Konstantin Tyukavin became the top scorer at training camps and the vice-captain. What can you say about his play?

— Tyuka works very hard and scores goals. In the second half of the match, he captained the team and played like a real captain. He will be a very important player during the season, I am sure.

— Has Daniil Fomin officially become the captain for the forthcoming season?

— Yes, he will be our captain.
