The 53-year-old Serbian specialist signed a one-year contract with the club. Jokanović's contract provides for two more seasons option that will be set automatically in case of achieving necessary results.

The head coach of Dynamo will start working with the team in the near future. On June 21, Dynamo players will come out of vacation and undergo a pre-season medical examination, after which the preparation campaign starts. Next week, the club is going to organize a special press conference with Jokanović for the media and bloggers.

Jokanović was born on August 16, 1968. Slaviša played as a defensive midfielder for the clubs such as Vojvodina Novi Sad, Partizan Belgrade, Real Oviedo, CD Tenerife, Deportivo de La Coruña, Chelsea and Ciudad de Murcia. He also performed for the national teams of Yugoslavia (6 matches) and Serbia and Montenegro (58 matches, 10 goals). Slaviša took part in the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.

As a head coach, Jokanović worked at Partizan, where he became two-time Serbian champion and won the Serbian Cup twice. Under his stewardship, Muangthong United celebrated the victory in the Thai Premier League. Two British sides Watford and Fulham gained promotion to the English Premier League headed by Jokanović. The list of football clubs where Slaviša worked alsp includes Bulgarian giant Levski Sofia, Spanish side Hércules CF, Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv, Qatari Al-Gharafa SC and English Sheffield United.
