Dynamo head coach Slavisa Jokanovic answered journalists' questions after the match with Khimki (6:1).
— The team took this match seriously. We put a lot of pressure on the opponent and played with great enthusiasm. In the first 15 minutes of the second half, when we were already leading by 3:0, the team slowed down, but then our players found energy to add and score more. I am satisfied with team’s performance and the final result.
— Dynamo scored six times, but should have scored more in the first half. Why is the finishing so poor?
— I agree that we created a lot of chances, but I can't be angry after such a game. Our strikers put a lot of pressure and rushed into free zones. Of course, we could have scored more, but I can't complain today.
— There were a lot of talks about pitch condition. What can you say about it?
— The pitch is in bad condition, but I've seen worse in my career. The game with CSKA is expected in two weeks, and I hope that the pitch will be put in order during this time.
— The team showed carelessness in the first part of the second half. Everything changed after the substitutions. Tell us why you made these changes?
— Roberto Fernandez faced problems with the back of his thigh, while Arsen Zakharyan felt abdominal pain. Diego Laxalt shifted to the center of midfield, because he had such experience. I think that Diego has established himself well. We replaced him, because we needed to add more energy to our play. We fielded Tyukavin, Gladyshev and Grulev, after which we started generating chances and scored three more goals. I am very glad that the substitutions have started working that we lacked at the beginning of the season. This is an important sign for us.
— How did you react to the last-minute penalty?
— I would like to see a clean sheet, but it's better to concede in such a situation than when you are losing or the score is levelled. I hope that we will be able to keep the clean sheet in the next round.
— Do your players understand that in remaining four games they need to show the maximum, otherwise the result of the first part of the season can be considered unsatisfactory?
— Now we have a positive streak. All the players work very hard in training and show good play. I cannot say which result will be considered satisfactory and which will not. Of course, everyone inside the team is looking for ways to improve his play. We are playing better now than at the beginning of the season and we want to progress further.
It is up to the fans and the club management to decide which result can be considered positive. I'm not thinking about it, I'm just looking for the opportunity to make our play even better. This is my priority goal. The main thing is our tournament position in May, and then it will be possible to talk about the final result more concretely.
