Slavisa Jokanovic: I told my footballers to keep playing with the same will and aggression | News of FC Dynamo Moscow

Dynamo head coach Slavisa Jokanovic answered journalists' questions after the match with Rostov (1:2).

— I think we played better than Rostov. We dominated on the pitch, controlled the ball well and made a lot of shots. When we conceded a goal, we simply lost concentration and paid for this mistake. Then we tried to come from behind, but it wasn't easy to do it.

— After conceding a goal, you did not switch to the formation with two forwards, but preferred to change the whole attacking group. Was it probably better to field Konstantin Tyukavin earlier?

— Our starting attacking players established themselves great. At that moment we needed to add energy, which worked in previous matches. The formation including two forwards is not the main option for us. By the moment we conceded, the team played very well and created chances, but lacked concentration to finish them.

— At the beginning of the second half, you received a yellow card and had a long conversation with the referee. What happened there?

— There was nothing special. I asked why he didn't whistle a free kick, when a Rostov player committed an obvious foul. The referee said that I had expressed disrespect for his job and showed me the yellow card.

— What did you say to the players in the dressing room after the match?

— I said that today we were closer to winning than losing, but this is football. I encouraged them and told to keep playing with the same will and aggression as today. I hope we will be more successful in the next matches.

— Out of four games with Rostov, Dynamo won only one. Can we say that you have not found any recipe for success when playing with Valery Karpin’s team?

— We can say that luck turned away from us today, so we could not win. In any case, Rostov are a good team, and Valery Karpin is a good coach. It is not easy to play against them.
