Konstantin Tyukavin and Igor Leshchuk became the first Russian football players to attend the Al Bayt Stadium where the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening fixture will be held on November 21.

In addition to the opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Al Bayt Stadium will host group stage games and playoffs up to the semifinals. The name of the arena comes from bayt al sha'ar, which means tents used by local nomads. After the end of the tournament, the upper part of the stadium will be removed and given to the developing countries.
