Four footballers of our club took part in the matches for their national teams during the last international break this year.

Daniil Fomin played for the senior Russian national team in both fixtures. He spent 67 minutes against Cyprus (6:0) and 80 minutes against Croatia (0:1). The Russians finished second in the group H and will now compete for the FIFA World Cup spot in March play-off matches.

Konstantin Tyukavin established himself twice as a point-scorer after coming off the bench for the Russia U-21 team. Konstantin assisted on Timur Suleymanov’s late goal against Slovakia (3:0), and scored the game-winning goal with a nice long-range shot against Spain (1:0). Ivan Budachyov remained on the bench during these matches. Mikhail Galaktionov's team aligned with the Spaniards who lead the third qualifying group of the 2023 European Championship and are on top only due to better goal difference in head-to-head games.

Yaroslav Gladyshev became the key man of the Russia U-19 team during the first qualifying round of the 2022 Under-19 European Championship. He scored the game-winning goal against Greece (1:0), then added a goal + two assists against Germany (3:1) and finally recorded a goal + assist against Faroe Islands (5:0). The Russians promoted to the elite round of Euro qualification, which will be held in the spring 2022.

Fabián Balbuena played 90 minutes against Colombia (0:0) and picked up a yellow card that will leave him out for the next encounter. Four rounds before the end of the South American qualifying campaign, the Paraguayans remain ninth with 13 points.
