The first friendly game at final winter VTB training camp ended in a 1:0 win for the White-Blues.
The encounter was preceded by a minute of silence in memory of victims of a terrible earthquake, which had shocked Turkey last week. On this occasion our team spent the whole match with mourning armbands. Nearly eighty Dynamo fans could see Mathias Normann and Vyacheslav Grulev in action. Both footballers missed 4 and 2,5 months respectively after surgery.
Normann took the defensive midfielder position and spent the first half actively executing all the set-pieces. At the very beginning the White-Blues used the left wing more often, where Diego Laxalt and Grulev were restoring interplay.
Denis Makarov created a lot of danger inside the Olympic penalty box. His bycicle kick seemed promising, but the best chance to open the score came in the 26th minute. Georgy Sulakvelidze found him inside the box, where Makarov tried to shine. Denis showed nice dribbling and fired into the near corner. However, the Uzbek goalkeeper was vigilant.
Young footballers of the Tashkent side played a disciplined game and didn't let too much space for Dynamo. At the same time they used little foul tactics to stop the White-Blues' efforts. The first half ended goalless.
After the interval the Muscovites started playing aggresively and Yuldashev was forced to come into play denying Konstantin Tyukavin's strikes. In the 61st minute Grulev was able to put his name on the scoresheet, but his shot was blocked by the defender.
Soon Denis Bokov, Ivan Zazvonkin and Milan Majstorovic appeared on the pitch. The Serbian youngster moved to a centre-back position, while Nicholas Marichal shifted to the left wing.
For the last twenty minutes Dynamo looked solid and dominant, when Smolov came to the pitch. Finally, pressure from the Moscow side brought necessary result. Sulakvelidze outran two defenders and was fouled on inside the penalty area. Smolov came to the ball and converted the penalty confidently securing Dynamo a tough win over the young Uzbeks.
Today on 5 p.m. the White-Blues will face the RPL side Khimki.
