The meeting of the 6th round of the group stage of the Fonbet Cup of Russia, held in Samara, ended with a score of 6:3.
Since the match no longer had tournament significance, 12 basic players remained in Moscow at once, and eight players no older than 21 appeared on the field from the first minutes. At the same time, for 18-year-old defensive midfielder Dmitry Alexandrov and 20-year-old central defender Leon Zaidenzal, this was the first appearance in the starting lineup of the main team. Dmitry Skopintsev received the captain's armband for the second time.
Igor Osinkin released a more experienced squad, and the start of the match was marked by the attacks of the hosts. Already in the first minute, Ivan Sergeev made a good effort because of the penalty over the crossbar. But Dynamo opened the account – Denis Makarov gave a penetrating pass into the penalty area, Yaroslav Gladyshev left the guardian with a beautiful feint and sent the ball into the "house" to the goalkeeper.
After that, a real kaleidoscope of heads began. First, Benjamin Garre converted a penalty after Luka Gagnidze knocked down Ulvi Babayev in the penalty area of Igor Leshchuk. Then Ilya Gaponov made a mistake at his own goal and gave an accurate pass to El-Mehdi Mauhub, who did not miss from close range. Finally, a minute later, Thomas Galdames sent the ball with scissors into the nine of our goal. As a result – 2:2 already by the 18th minute of the game!
The spectators had to wait "as long" as 10 minutes for the next goal. This time Gladyshev acted as an assistant, who perfectly dealt with his opponent on the right flank and rolled the ball under the blow of Gagnidze, who spun it exactly into the corner of Bogdan Ovsyannikov's goal.
Soon Makarov brought Gladyshev one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but this time Yaroslav did not hit the gate. The hosts responded with two super moments in which Leshchuk dragged dangerous punches from Babaev and Garre. The game in the first half was more like an All-Star Game, in which defense was sacrificed to beautiful attacking actions and feints.
After the break, the nature of the game has not changed. Mauhub went great on the left flank and shot into the center of the penalty area, where two Dynamo players did not get to the ball at once. Next, Makarov scored from Viktor Okishor's pass, but from a slight offside position.
Denis was not at all upset and a minute later scored according to the rules: Gagnidze threw the ball into the penalty area, Makarov took it on his chest and sent it past the goalkeeper in the fall! Two minutes later, Denis famously played into the wall with Gladyshev and hooked the ball over Ovsyannikov, and Mauhub finished him off in the net – 5:2!
Twice the goalkeeper of the hosts rescued his team after Gladyshev's point-blank shot and Mauhub's one-on-one exit. Skopintsev, who dealt with the defender well, could have scored, but Ovsyannikov made another save. In the 62nd minute, the long-awaited return to the field of Vyacheslav Grulev, who replaced Gladyshev, took place, while Luis Chavez replaced Okishor.
Krylia were able to seize the initiative for a while and win back one ball – Gaponov closed Dmitry Ivaniseni's cross. Immediately after that, Nicolas Marichal and Roberto Fernandez appeared on the field, designed to strengthen the rear. But Dynamo were not going to forget about the attack either. Makarov threw a long pass into the breakthrough of Mauhub, and he outplayed Ovsyannikov for the third time – there is a hat-trick of scoring and an assistant hat-trick!
The blue and white team finished in second place in Group A with 11 points and will now face Lokomotiv in the quarterfinals of the RPL. In the next match, the blue and white will play on the road with Khimki on October 27.
