On Thursday, Czech specialist Marcel Licka took charge of Dynamo Moscow. 45-year-old head coach signed the contract until the end of 2023/24 season with the prolongation option providing for 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, respectively, if certain conditions are met.
Licka's previous club was FC Orenburg, which gained promotion to the RPL a year ago and finished 7th last season under his stewardship. In June 2023, our club reached an agreement with Orenburg on Licka's move to Dynamo.
Marcel Licka started his coaching career in Czech minor leagues. In 2019, he led Dynamo Brest to winning the Vysheyshaya Liga and the Belarusian Super Cup.
Dynamo coaching staff will be strenghened by assistants Mario Licka, Rolan Gusev, Adesoye Oyevole and analyst Aleksey Radevich. Dmitry Izotov will continue working with goalkeepers. Evgeny Stukalov will be the fitness coach.
Earlier, our club has reported that Pavel Alpatov, who served as first team caretaker manager during the last rounds of the previous season, headed Dynamo-2. Other changes in the coaching staff are possible. We will inform you about them later.
